DIY Eyelash Serum
I have used this serum at night for about 4 months and am loving the growth I have seen in my lashes. Castor oil comes from castor seeds and contains anti-oxidants and is an anti-inflammatory oil. This oil contains large amounts of unsaturated fats and omega fatty acids that make it a good match for human skin. Once absorbed into the skin it helps hold in moisture, a great benefit in Phoenix, Arizona. It also can stimulate collagen production making it a great natural wrinkle preventer. Castor is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, because of that it can cure fungus like ringworm and athlete’s foot.
Today however I’m focusing on how it can help you grow hair. With it’s anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties it can prevent many scalp and skin conditions. It can ease inflammation calming an itchy scalp and soothing redness. It also has high amounts of Ricinoleic acid that can help balance PH. Castor oil benefits the hair nourishing the surrounding skin and hair follicle encouraging hair growth.
This is a simple recipe you can make at home and enjoy the benefits the same night.
Ingredients and supplies:
- 2 parts cold pressed castor oil
- 3 parts oil of choice (I use olive oil)
- 1 dark brown or blue glass bottle with dropper
Combine the ingredients in the dropper and shake well. To use drop a few drops onto fingers and gently apply to your eyes. Only a small amount is needed and will help you to avoid getting it in your eye which can be irritating. The serum can also be applied to your smile lines and crows feet to prevent wrinkles. To use on the scalp apply the same technique as above a little goes a long way. Gently massage into your roots and allow to sit in your hair while you sleep. Wash you hair as you normally do the next morning.
*When trying a new product always test on a small area before applying anywhere else.
