Chicks Hatched at the School
Recently I gave some of my fertile eggs to a friend for a class experiment. She is the school nurse and every year she sets up two classes with incubators. The kids get to see the stages of development from egg to hatch, through candling. I was super excited because I got to have some of the chicks once they were all done with them.
Yesterday they were ready to come home which was perfect timing because I already had the brooder set up for the Meyer’s Chicks. She let me go through and pick the chicks we wanted. I chose five, two have green legs and will be Easter Eggers, a little red headed one (I think is a rooster), and two black ones. Now let’s hope they are girls!
Despite what it looks like Reagan the Pembroke Corgi was not murdered by the little redhead chick.
